SLAG SAND

Slag sand offered by Renevis is a product of usable qualities being applied for example in reclamations, restorations, landfills, geotechnic, concrete blocks and ceramics production. As it is obtained from waste processing, its use is determined by other law regulations concerning quality of earth surface. In particular the Regulation of Minister of Environment on the earth and soil quality standards has to be applied.

Composition

Slag sand with its composition reminds mineral aggregates. It contains among others: aluminosilicate (SiO2, AL2O3), iron (Fe2O3), calcium (CaO), magnesium (MgO), potassium (K2O), natrium (Na2O).

Application

The main areas of slag sand application are:

  • addition to the following products: RMC, aerated concrete blocks, artificial granulated aggregates, building elements, ceramics, etc.;
  • reclamation, restoration of grounds, landfill,
  • fillings of deep and open-cast mines,
  • improvement of grain size composition of aggregates used for unimproved hard pavement base course produced in pavement technology based on aggregate stabilized mechanically,
  • backfills and engineering fills,
  • building into lower layers of embankments below the freezing zone,
  • improvement of grain size composition of different materials.

For the product there was issued the National Declaration of Conformity supported by building sign B. 

COARSE-GRAINED SLAG

Renevis also offers coarse-grained slag of the fraction around 5-80 mm. This material is perfect for hardening wet, muddy and clay surfaces as well as a filling of roughness in local roads, of parking places, manoeuvring sites etc.
